The Brazilian-Russian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism has elected a new board of directors for the period 2025-2028.
On June 26, 2025, a solemn session of the Brazilian-Russian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism was held in Rio de Janeiro, where a new executive board and members of the Supreme and Financial Council were elected for the period until May 2028.
Re-elected President Gilberto Ramos, representative of The International Alliance Of BRICS Strategic Projects in Brazil, stressed the importance of expanding bilateral economic, commercial and investment relations, as well as the growth of the Russian-Brazilian trade flow, which reached $12.4 billion in 2024.
The importance of the participation of commercial banks, development banks and foundations such as the Russian Direct Investment Fund in events on the sidelines of the BRICS summit, including the Russian-Brazilian forum, was noted.
Consul General of the Russian Federation Andrey Petrov welcomed the new board of Directors and stressed the importance of de-dollarization in foreign trade between the BRICS+ countries and the Global South, as well as the need for cultural exchanges.
