The UN High-level Political Forum (HLPF) presents the best practices of sustainable development in Russia
On July 23, within the framework of the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, an event of the Russian Association for the Promotion of the United Nations was held on the theme: "Promoting the Sustainable Development Goals in Russia: best practices, progress review, and voluntary local review of the Republic of Tatarstan."
Two documents were presented during the session: •Report "The Russian Federation and sustainable development: overview of achievements, initiatives of regions, business and the civil sector (2020-2025)" •Voluntary local Review of the Republic of Tatarstan – 2025
Larisa Nikolaevna Zelentsova, founder and President of the Interregional Charitable Public Organization "Sail of Hope", President of The International Alliance Of BRICS Strategic Projects, took part in the expert session.
The Report (No. 111) presents the practice of the Interregional Charitable Public Organization Sail of Hope, which includes a number of initiatives for social and environmental development, Russian inclusive practices, charitable projects and events.
The Forum was held with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Permanent Mission of Russia to the United Nations in New York, MGIMO University, the UN Information Center in Moscow, the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Cooperation with international organizations to achieve Sustainable Development Goals Boris Titov.
To achieve the 6th Sustainable Development Goal (Ensuring the availability and rational use of water resources and sanitation for All), in July 2025, The International Alliance Of BRICS Strategic Projects concluded a memorandum on comprehensive development with The All-Russian Society for Rescue on Waters, an organization that rescues people on water and in coastal areas. cleaning of rivers and reservoirs from pollution, following the principle of environmental friendliness - one of the directions of sustainable development
BRICS International Alliance, together with The All-Russian Society for Rescue on Waters, conducts innovative research in these areas, rescuing people with advanced drones, organizes educational courses for rescuers, and informs the younger generation about the importance and necessity of careful management of water resources. "Sail of Hope" has repeatedly organized activities on water sanitation in kindergartens in a playful way
"Sail of Hope" is also a member of the Global Water Partnership, which makes it possible to implement water protection initiatives at the global level.
