International creative pleinair “Southern Modern”

From 20.03.2023 to 02.04.2023, a unique international creative plein air called "Southern Modern" took place in the city of Essentuki. The organizers of this event were the BRICS International Association of Strategic Projects, the Self-regulating organization the Creative Community of Artists of Russia, the Interregional Public Association Union of Artists of the Rostov Region and the sanatorium Center-Union.

The participants of the plein air were artists from different regions of Russia, as well as representatives of the Republic of Ghana and the Republic of South Korea. This creative team is famous for its achievements and titles, such as Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honorary Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and People's Artist of the Russian Federation.

One of the main goals of the plein air was to organize an exhibition where the works of the participants were presented. The exhibition was held in the spacious hall of the GBUK IC "Essentuki Museum of Local Lore named after V.P. Shpakovsky". These creative works aroused great interest and were awarded diplomas and letters of thanks from the International Alliance of BRICS Strategic Projects, the Ministry of Culture of the Stavropol Territory, the Head of the City Duma of Essentuki and the President of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.

The theme of the plein air "Southern Modern" was of particular importance for the Ambassador of the Republic of San Marino, as it reflected the international cultural ties of the past centuries. In the Art Nouveau era, Italian architects actively worked in the cities of the Caucasian Mineral Waters and created buildings for various purposes: cottages, pavilions, theaters, architectural and landscape compositions, as well as the design of mineral springs.

The President of BRICS, Larisa Nikolaevna Zelentsova, expressed her good wishes to the participants of the plein air, wishing them successful creativity, an active lifestyle, vivid impressions and endless inspiration.

Within the framework of the open-air, Yefremov E.A., a representative of MASP BRICS and the head of the creative group, conducted an interesting tour of the city of Pyatigorsk. He showed the participants famous places, such as the place described in the work of Ilf and Petrov "Failure", as well as the historical buildings of the central part of the city. This tour was a real discovery for the participants and allowed them to plunge into the history and culture of the city.
