As part of the XVIII Winter International Arts Festival in Sochi, the X Anniversary International Conference for heads of cultural institutions, directors and artistic directors of concert organizations and festivals, and managers of cultural projects were held. The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
The X International Conference in Sochi is a unique platform for annual meetings and fruitful open dialogue between the largest professional associations: the Union of Concert Organizations of Russia, the Association of Music Educational Institutions, the Russian Musical Union, the Russian Cultural Foundation and others.
As part of the opening of the anniversary conference, a plenary session was held on the topic "Formation of cultural space in Russia." The discussion covered the most pressing issues in the field of culture, interaction between members of the professional community, and the experience of individual regions of Russia and the BRICS member countries. The event participants also discussed "Cultural projects that are changing the face of the regions" and the basics of interaction between cultural event organizers and journalists and critics. The plenary session was attended by Sonia Khan (India), Director and Curator of Global Cultural Programs, the International Alliance of BRICS Strategic Projects.
