IASP BRICS meeting with President of Trade Board Cite d'Ivoire-Russia

On 01.05.2024, the President of Trade Board Cite d'Ivoire-Russia at the initiative of the President of Trade Board Cite d'Ivoire-Russia, Mr. Douai Tai Henri, his representative delegation met with Larisa Zelentsova, President of International Alliance of Strategic Projects BRICS, and her team responsible for the development of international relations on the African continent.

In his welcoming speech, Mr. Douai Thai Henri noted the great importance of strengthening the political and economic ties of Côte d'Ivoire with the Russian Federation, emphasizing the special role played by the IASP BRICS and personally by its Presiden Mrs. Zelentsova Larisa.

In turn, the President of the IASP BRICS confirmed her deep interest in developing and strengthening such ties, as well as scientific and technical cooperation with the countries of West Africa that advocate friendship and cooperation with Russia.

Zelentsova Larisa noted at the same time that the purpose of the BRICS is to implement the decisions taken by the IASP BRICS within the framework of the main congresses aimed, among other things, at introducing social and technological innovations in West African countries, while simultaneously ensuring and strengthening national security in these countries, as well as on the African continent as a whole.

The members of the Ivorian delegation emphasized in their speeches that their main mission is to ensure the development of sustainable international business based on innovative partnerships aimed at stimulating sustainable economic growth and empowerment in the country, including the successful implementation of the most relevant economic agenda for Côte d'Ivoire. This agenda presupposes and strongly encourages the strategic Russian presence in Côte d'Ivoire from both large public and private companies, as well as from subjects of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The President of the Ivorian Delegation also voiced a request to the IASP BRICS to assist in obtaining the consent of the most desirable Russian companies to participate in the International Industrial Exhibition of Côte d'Ivoire from 21- 24 November 2024, stressing that such an exhibition presupposes the active participation of the most significant companies from countries from all over West Africa.

During the discussions, it was emphasized that the success of the exhibition and cooperation in general will largely depend on the comprehensive and early elaboration of specific projects that are priorities for Côte d'Ivoire, and which at the same time should be of serious strategic interest to Russian investors, as well as attractive to other Russian participants in trade and economic turnover between the two countries. The need for early elaboration of optimal and reliable mechanisms for mutual settlements between participants in such a turnover was emphasized.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed between the Non-commercial "International Alliance of Strategic Projects BRICS" and the Trade Board Cite d'Ivoire-Russia
